I-35, I-40 and I-44 All Cross Oklahoma City
Three interstates cut through Oklahoma City. I-240 ties I-40 and I-44 together across the south side. I-235 runs from I-44 into downtown and becomes the Broadway Extension up to Edmond. The Kilpatrick Turnpike wraps around the north and west. That's a lot of fast lanes to break down on.
A few local tips make your call faster:
- On the Kilpatrick Turnpike, the interchanges have no exit numbers. Give us your direction and the nearest cross road instead.
- On I-44 between NW 23rd and NW 36th, you're on the busiest roadway in the state. Stay in the car with your belt on. Don't try to cross lanes on foot.
- On the west half of I-240, entrance lanes turn into exit-only lanes with little room between them. If you stall there, get as far right as you can and turn your hazards on right away.
- On I-35, give us the nearest exit or mile marker and which way you were headed. Near the spot where I-35 and I-44 meet, tell us which of the two you're on.
- On Lake Hefner Parkway or Airport Road, tell us your direction and the last street you passed.
We text you a locked price, then send the nearest available partner. If the car won't start, that might be a jump start. If it won't move, it's a tow to your home or shop.
Oklahoma weather
Storm Season, Summer Heat and the Odd Ice Day
Oklahoma City sits in Tornado Alley. Its busiest severe weather runs from March through June, peaking in April and May, with hail, damaging wind and flash flooding along with the tornadoes. If a warning goes out while you're broken down, get to shelter first. The car can wait. Call us when it's safe.
Summer is long and hot. Winter is mostly mild, but ice storms and snowstorms show up now and then, and they can shut down a morning commute. Hail can crack a windshield so badly the car isn't safe to drive, and flooded streets stall engines. Never drive into moving water. Once the water drops, a tow gets the car to a shop.
Oklahoma law
The Bernardo-Mills Law: Why Your Hazards Matter
Oklahoma's move-over law is called the Bernardo-Mills Law (47 O.S. 11-314). It covers emergency vehicles, road crews, licensed wreckers, and any stationary vehicle with flashing lights. On a highway with two or more lanes going the same way, drivers must move to a lane that isn't next to you when it's safe. If they can't, they must slow down.
That means your hazard lights do real work. Turn them on the moment you stop. When your partner arrives with amber lights flashing, the same law protects them while they load your car.

Oklahoma City questions
Oklahoma City Drivers Ask
My car was hit by hail and the windshield is cracked. Can it be towed?
Yes. If you can't see well enough to drive safely, don't. A partner can tow it to your shop or home. Before hookup, the driver photographs all 4 sides and we text you the photos. That helps with your insurance claim.
I'm stuck on the Kilpatrick Turnpike. How do I tell you where I am?
Give us your direction and the nearest cross road or interchange. The turnpike doesn't use exit numbers, so street names work best. Your phone's map pin helps too.
My car slid into a curb on an ice day. Is it safe to drive?
Look before you try. A bent wheel, a flat tire or a car that pulls hard to one side means don't drive it. If the only problem is a flat and you have a good spare, a partner can do a tire change. If anything looks bent or broken, ask for a tow, and we'll text the price first.
Do you tow from Norman or Edmond?
Yes. Both are in the area we cover. Tell us where the car should go, and your texted price covers that trip. Nothing extra shows up on the bill.
Can my family see where I am while I wait?
Give us one number, and we text them your location and when the truck should arrive. You can track the truck yourself too. It's part of our Stay-With-You Promise.
