How We Research Our City Pages and Guides
A stranded driver may act on what we write, right there on the shoulder. So every law, rule and local fact on this site has to come from an official source, or it doesn't go on the page.
The Rules Every Page Follows
- Official sources for rules and numbers. Laws, move-over rules, towing and impound rules, road closures and climate figures come from government sources: state and provincial legislatures, transportation departments and 511 services, city and county sites, police departments, NOAA and the National Weather Service, and Environment and Climate Change Canada.
- Every fact is logged. Each city page and guide has a research file that lists the facts it uses and the source for each one.
- If we can't verify it, we leave it out. A missing detail is better than a wrong one when you're deciding where to wait or who can tow you.
- We link the source. When a page tells you about a law or an official service, it links the official page so you can check it yourself.
- Nothing invented. No made-up arrival times, customer counts, ratings or reviews. Sentinel is new, and we say so.
- No other companies named. We don't compare ourselves to other tow companies or motor clubs by name.
About the photos
The photos on this site are illustrations. They don't show real jobs, real customers or our partners' trucks, and no truck in them carries a company name.
About the network
Sentinel is a towing and roadside network, not a tow company. Local partner companies do the work. See how a call works.
Keeping Pages Current
Rules change. Parking bans get new dates, impound lots move and hours shift. Before a guide goes live, we check date-sensitive details against the official page again, and each guide shows the date it was published. City pages point you to the official source for anything that changes often, like road conditions and closures.
Spotted Something Wrong?
Tell us. Email tyson@osprey.solutions or call 1-888-TOW-1213, and include the page and what looks off. We check it against the official source and fix the page. You can browse every city page and roadside guide from here.
