Terms of Use

These are the rules for using this site and getting help through Sentinel Towing. We wrote them in plain words. Please read them before you book.

Last updated: September 29, 2026.

Who We Are

Sentinel Towing is run by OspreySOL Consulting Inc. OspreySOL Consulting Inc. is a British Columbia company that does business as Osprey Solutions. "We" and "us" mean OspreySOL Consulting Inc. and Sentinel Towing. "You" means the person using the site or asking for help.

What Sentinel Does, and What It Doesn't

Sentinel Towing is a towing and roadside network. We are not a tow company. We answer your call, text your price, and match you with a vetted local partner tow company. The partner is an independent business. Its driver does the tow or roadside job. We keep you posted and hold the partner to your texted price.

We offer light-duty help only: towing, jump starts, lockouts, flat tire changes, fuel delivery and winch-outs for cars, SUVs, minivans and light pickups. We don't handle heavy-duty trucks, RVs, motorcycles, long-distance tows, impounds or police rotation calls. We don't cut or program keys, repair or sell tires, or charge electric cars.

We're Not an Emergency Service

If anyone is hurt, you're in danger, or you're stuck in a live lane of traffic, call 911 first. Follow the directions of police and fire crews at any scene.

Your Price

  • We text your price before we dispatch a truck. If the final bill is higher, you pay the texted price.
  • The texted price covers the job you described: your location, your vehicle, the service and the drop-off spot.
  • If the job changes, like a new drop-off spot or a jump that becomes a tow, we text you a new price first. Nothing extra is added without your OK by text.
  • You pay Sentinel, not the driver or the partner tow company: a deposit by secure link before dispatch, and the balance when the job is done. How and when you pay, and whether a cancel fee applies once a truck is on the way, is in your price text before you say yes.

The Sentinel Stay-With-You Promise

These are the promises that come with every job, word for word:

  1. We stay with you. From your call until the truck arrives, we check on you by text.

  2. See your driver before they arrive. You get their name, photo and truck by text, and you can track your truck on a map.

  3. Your family knows too. Give us one number, and we text them your location and arrival time.

  4. Photo-protected tow. Before hookup, your driver photographs all 4 sides of your vehicle. We text you the photos.

  5. Price locked by text. You get your price by text before we dispatch. That price is the most you pay for the job. If the job changes, we text a new price first and you decide.

  6. Never stranded after. Ride along in the truck when it's safe and allowed, or we help you get a ride. We also point you to a good repair shop.

  7. Free Sentinel Circle. After your first job, your vehicle is on file. Next time, just text "TOW" for priority dispatch.

A few details:

  • Check-in texts, driver cards, tracking links and photos by text need your OK to text. Without it, we update you by phone.
  • Tracking shows the location from your driver's phone. It updates as they move, but it isn't second-by-second, and it can pause when the phone loses signal. Arrival times are estimates.
  • The 4-side photos are for tows. They're taken when it's safe, which may be after your car is moved out of a live lane.
  • Ride-alongs depend on safety, seats and local rules. The driver has the final say. Helping you get a ride doesn't mean the ride is free.
  • Sentinel Circle priority means we handle your request first. It can't change how far away the nearest truck is.
  • The full fine print is on the promise page.

Your Part

  • Give us your correct location, vehicle and a phone number you'll answer.
  • Only ask for help with a vehicle you're allowed to have moved or opened. The driver may ask for ID and registration.
  • Only give us a family member's number if you have their permission.
  • Stay safe and out of traffic while you wait.
  • Remove valuables you'll need before a tow.

Damage and Problems

Every partner must show proof of insurance before their first Sentinel job. If something is damaged during a job, text us right away with photos. We'll help you reach the partner and their insurer and follow it through. Your 4-side photos from before hookup help show how the car looked. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

Texts

Texts are optional. We text you only if you opt in on the phone or on our form, or text us first, and only from Sentinel Towing's number, about your job. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. We never share your mobile number or text consent with anyone for their marketing, including our partner tow companies. Read our privacy policy for how we handle your information.

Using This Website

  • The phone screens, maps and car drawings on this site are examples. Names on them are made up.
  • Safety tips here are general. Always follow police, fire crews and your vehicle's owner's manual first.
  • Please don't copy the site, send fake requests or try to break it.

Partners

Tow companies that join the network sign a separate partner agreement. If you run one, see become a partner.

The Law That Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If you live in a US state or another Canadian province, you keep any rights your own consumer protection laws give you.
