Don't Drive on a Flat
It's tempting to limp to the next exit. Don't. Even a short drive on a flat can ruin the wheel and the tire, and a cheap fix turns into an expensive one.
Pull over as far from traffic as you safely can. Turn on your hazards. Then call us from inside the car.
Where Is the Wheel Lock Key?
Some cars use one locking lug nut on each wheel. It needs a special key, which is often in the glove box, the center console or with the jack in the trunk. Find it before your driver arrives. Without it, the wheel may not come off at the roadside.
When a tire change won't work
Then it's a tow to a tire shop instead:
- No spare, or the spare is flat too
- Two or more flat tires
- A bent wheel or a damaged hub
- Run-flat tires and no spare in the car
- Soft ground or a slope where a jack isn't safe
Know your spare
Temporary Spares Are Made for Short Trips
Lots of cars carry a small temporary spare. Some people call it a donut. It gets you off the road, but it isn't built for highway speed or long drives.
- Check the limits. The speed and distance limits are printed on the spare's sidewall and in your owner's manual.
- Check the air. A spare that sat in the trunk for years can be low. If it's flat too, we switch you to a tow.
- Fix the flat soon. Head to a tire shop in the next day or so. Ask us and we'll point you to one near you.

If you're in a quiet lot, you might. But a highway shoulder at night is a hard place to work. You're crouched a few feet from traffic, often in the dark. A partner brings lights, the right jack and the tools to break loose tight lug nuts. You get to wait somewhere safe while it's done. That's what the Stay-With-You Promise is for.

Photo-protected tow. Before hookup, your driver photographs all 4 sides of your vehicle. We text you the photos.
Price locked by text. You get your price by text before we dispatch. That price is the most you pay for the job. If the job changes, we text a new price first and you decide.
Never stranded after. Ride along in the truck when it's safe and allowed, or we help you get a ride. We also point you to a good repair shop.

Flat Tire Questions
Do you fix or sell tires?
No. We put your spare on so you can drive to a tire shop. If you can't drive on the spare, we'll tow the car to a shop for you.
Can you change a tire on the highway shoulder?
Often, yes. Your driver decides what's safe. On a narrow or busy shoulder, the safer choice may be a short tow to a parking lot to change it there. If so, we text you the new price first.
What if my lug nuts are rusted tight?
Partners carry tools for stubborn nuts. If a wheel still won't come off safely, your driver will stop and we'll talk about a tow to a shop. Nothing changes without your OK.
